  • Biography: Dean Emerton was born and raised in Manhattan, New York to Senator Ron Emerton and his wife, painter and photographer Christina Morante. Born under a democratic household, Dean grew up understanding the rights and wrongs of politics, and found himself resenting his father more than celebrating him. It was during one of his father's democrat party functions held at their Manhattan home that he met the son of Senator Moseby of Massachusetts, Tristan. Ever since then, Dean and Tristan have been inseperable best friends, both applying to Columbia University, and both graduating.

It's Dean's strong love of politics is what made him move ahead in schooling, getting his bachelor's degree in Political Science and reciently getting his Masters in Quantitative Methods in the Social Sciences in December of 2008. He has very strong opinions, and does not seem to tolerate those who want to insult their own personal intellegence, something he takes great pride in. Dean's motto seems to be "If you are not happy with who you are, you don't deserve to be", while the motto does hold some faulty logic, it has certainly gained him and lost him some friends here and there.

But it was Dean's trip into movies that stunned his parents. Everyone believed that the intelligent Dean would fall in his father's footsteps and become a Senator, when all Dean wanted to do was to rebel. So Tristan and Dean went out to Hollywood for some acting gigs, surprising everyone that they actually got the gigs, and both friends have been in entertainment ever since. Dean took a hiatus from acting in 2006 to finish his masters, and instead of getting back into movies right away, he released an album under the uncreative band name "The Senators" with help from Tristan and now girlfriend Adella Burnshaw, the first album called This Old Machine has been recieved well by the indie world, but Dean doesn't seem too concerned about touring on the album-- after doing four shows, Dean announced he will be playing an out of touch rock star in the upcoming comedy Forgetting Sarah Marshall alongside Tristan and Adella.

Regarding his personal life, Dean met Adella Burnshaw while they were both attending Columbia, and quickly became friends. It was apparent to everyone but them that the two of them were pretty much meant to be, and it has been only reciently that Dean and Adella got together, after Dean's relationship with ex-girlfriend Greta Porter ended after four years of unhappiness.

Dean has a lot of things to look forward to in his future, and he hopes to one day fulfill his goal of becoming a Political Science professor, but it's a long way coming.
